What should I do if my water heater is leaking from the top?

Shut off the water and power, then call Apollo Plumbing. A leak from the top often points to the cold/hot connections, the temperature and pressure (T&P) valve, or nearby fittings. We service and replace water heaters in Everett, Lynnwood, and across the area, with 24/7 help.

Quick steps:

  • Turn the cold-water shutoff valve Off.
  • Electric: switch the breaker Off. Gas: set control to Pilot.
  • Blot the top dry to spot the source. Do not open the tank when hot.
  • We can repair fittings/valves or replace the unit and haul away the old.
